STAFF at the Marks & Spencer Outlet store at Cheshire Oaks have raised more than £2,430 for local charity Claire House Children’s Hospice.
The team at Marks & Spencer recently presented their fundraising cheque to representatives from the hospice, which provides accommodation for children with life limiting or life threatening conditions from across Cheshire, Merseyside, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
The money was raised over the course of the summer through events including cake sales, fancy dress donation collections and a pub quiz.
Duty manager, Helen Brimage, said: “We’re delighted that our fundraising events proved to be such a success.
“Claire House is an extremely worthy cause, and we’ve been told that the money we raised is enough to accommodate an ill child and their family for a whole six months, which is great news.”
Shaun Rhodes, marketing manager at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, said: “We’re always keen to support our stores in fundraising activity, and the team at Marks & Spencer should be applauded for their fantastic efforts.”
