Cheshire freemasons have donated £10,000 to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

Chief executive officer of the hospice Steve Hoy welcomed assistant provincial grand master worshipful brother George Mann, provincial charity steward Colin Ross and provincial communications officer Derek Brook to the Backford hospice.

The money comes from donations that individual masons have made towards non-masonic charities and worthy causes.

Steve Hoy thanked the freemasons and said: “We value the continued support that freemasonry has given this and other hospices without which the service we offer to the community would be much harder to achieve.”
