HUNDREDS of volunteers from Women’s Institutes across the county teamed up to transform their Cheshire Show marquee into a literary wonderland.
The theme of Books, books and more books saw members enter arts, crafts, confectionery and cakes into classes ranging from Literary Lunch to Modern Classics.
This year’s event also played host to the Institute’s national flower arranging competition.
The Cheshire Federation’s Peter Rabbit-inspired creation was pipped to the post by members from Staffordshire.
Show committee chairman Margery Hall thanked the Cheshire Agricultural Society for its support and encouragement.
