ONE of West Cheshire’s top police officers is swapping the countryside for Cheshire Constabulary HQ.
Tim Jackson, who spent eight years as the western area’s head of policing, will now run the force’s uniform operations department where he will oversee the deployment of specialist police resources across the county.
Mr Jackson, who has worked for Cheshire Constabulary for 29 years, was in charge of policing 330,000 people across Chester, Ellesmere Port, Northwich, Winsford, Frodsham and surrounding areas.
He said: “I have been privileged to work with some absolutely great police officers, police staff and members of the special constabulary across the Western Area. I never cease to be impressed by the amazing things that they do on a daily basis.
“I am looking forward to my new role as it will be a completely different aspect of policing for me.”
