Family raises funds for Countess of Chester Hospital

The parents, friends and family of a Broughton boy have been fundraising to show their support for the hospital that cared for him.

The children’s unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital is one of three hospitals that treated three-year-old Thomas Swift during a recent illness.

A midnight sponsored walk, a climb up Moel Famau and a nursery super hero day were some of the many things undertaken to raise a total of £3,300, split equally between the three hospitals.

Mum Marjit said: “We can’t single out any member of staff to thank as all the staff on the Children’s ward at the Countess were just amazing.”
