BARGAIN hunters had help finding the bargains when the Kwik Save in Runcorn opened yesterday - thanks to celebrity guest David Dickinson.

The TV antiques guru cut the ribbon and welcomed the first shoppers at the £1m flagship development for Runcorn town centre.

David told the gathered crowd the store was 'cheap as chips' before happily signing autographs and posing for pictures.

He said: 'The store looks fantastic and I'm sure it will be great for bargain hunters.'

Store manager Kevan Frost said: 'Both the store and project teams have put a lot of hard work into this new store, and I think it looks absolutely fantastic.'

The bright and modern store includes a bakery and rotisserie, also selling CDs, toys, electrical goods and homewares.
