CHESTER & District Housing Trust is recruiting a new chairman following the resignation of Andrew Grime who has held the position since September 2006.
Mr Grime, who was first appointed to the trust board in 2004, headed up the board of the housing trust during its period of major restructure and improvement.
This included the achievement of its ‘two stars with excellent prospects’ grading awarded by the Audit Commission in March 2006 and the progression of a major housing development for the trust at Treborth Road.
Trust deputy chairman Rob Thompson said: “I know that Andrew was finding it difficult to balance the considerable time required to fulfil the chair’s role with the requirements of his professional life.
“He has given up a considerable amount of his time over the past few years and has been instrumental to our success and improvement. As deputy chair and on behalf of the board I must express my sincere gratitude to Andrew for the past three years of service.”
Mr Grime commented: “This was a very difficult decision to make. CDHT has achieved so much in the past few years and I will always be proud to have been a part of its recovery. I know that I leave the trust board in good hands.”
