MID CHESHIRE residents have the opportunity to comment on the draft proposals recommended by the Boundary Committee.

During this third stage, people can make suggestions and give their opinions on the changes.

As well as the suggestion of three unitary councils, there is the idea to maintain the Cheshire County Council boundary but do away with the so-called second tier of borough councils.

The third suggestion is to create two unitary authorities based on an East and West Cheshire split.

After the consultation the Boundary Committee will refine its work and submit a proposal to the Deputy Prime Minister.
