QUESTIONS concerning the new Cheshire West And Chester Authority can be put to leading councillors at a meeting on Wednesday, January 14.

There is an open invitation to the public for the question session with the new authority’s Scrutiny Committee at Council Chamber, County Hall, Chester, at 6.30pm.

Cllr Andrew Dawson, chairman of the scrutiny committee, said: “We’re holding our next open questions session with members of the council’s Executive here at County Hall in Chester on Wednesday at 6.30pm. You are most welcome to join us and, if you wish, to ask questions.

“I’m sure you’ve got lots to say and many questions to ask about local government and the challenges presented to all of us. I want to hear from you as I am determined to make this council as open and accountable as we can be to everyone and these question time sessions are part of doing this.

“Leader of the council Mike Jones will be here to answer questions. He will be joined by Cllr Richard Short and Cllr Brenda Dowding.”

In order to ensure your question is answered fully, please send the details to Patrick Sebastian by email at Patrick.Sebastian@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk or ring 01244 975970.
