REPORTS of youths loitering in the cemetery in Tarporley and drinking on the High Street will be addressed said a Tarporley police officer.

At the village Parish Council meeting councillors and a member of the public reported a number of youths had been seen in the cemetery at St Helen’s Church late at night.

PC Chris McCourt reassured residents and councillors at the meeting that he will speak to the youngsters. He also said he would ask PCSO Emily Benson to keep a look out for youths drinking on the streets late at night.

THE search to find Chester Model Girl 2008 takes place at Hoole Hall Hotel on Sunday November 23 at 7pm.

The winner will receive a one-year casting contract with a top UK agency, a £250 portfolio and £200 of make-up and represent Chester at the final of Model Girl UK 2009.

The event will also raise funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer through a parallel competition called Charity Model Girl.

Rush-hour chaos

A TWO-car collision left rush hour commuters in two miles of tailbacks. At 8.25am on Wednesday, a Peugot 307 and a Ford KA collided on the A55 southerly bypass at the Sainsbury’s roundabout, Huntington in the direction of North Wales. Neither driver was injured.
