A CHARITY concert is to be held at Chester Cathedral in aid of the Countess of Chester Hospital’s Relative Comfort Appeal.

And the renowned Fodens Band will be the star attraction.

The Relative Comfort Appeal aims to raise £500,000 to provide additional accommodation and counselling rooms to enable families to stay close to their loved ones while they are being treated on the Critical Care Unit.

To support the appeal, members of the public are invited to attend a charity concert on Saturday, September 18 at 7.30pm at Chester Cathedral.

The concert will feature the Fodens Band in concert with The Vale Royal Singers and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s musical director, Bramwell Tovey.

Fodens Band maintains a reputation for providing entertainment in the field of brass music with a traditional and unique style.

Their repertoire includes light popular music both old and new through operatic, film and light orchestral works to the serious original brass band music performed by outstanding soloists and supported by an enviable collection of fine musicians.

Tickets, priced £15, are available at the Cathedral box office on 01244 500959 and online at www. chestercathedral.com.
