NEW parents can buy baby clothes for a fraction of the price – and help the environment at the same time.

The UK’s leading parent charity, the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) supports thousands of new parents every year, offering expert information and practical and emotional support.

And the charity’s nearly new sales go a long way in supporting new parents who struggle to pay top prices for the latest baby equipment.

The Chester NCT branch holds three sales a year – giving local families the opportunity to sell their old baby goods in one place.

Parents with older children can sell their items for some extra cash, while new parents can buy high-quality goods at a fraction of its retail value.

The sales help raise money and awareness for the NCT, and also benefit the environment.

Items which could otherwise end up in bins and garbage points reduce the amount of waste thrown away.

After the huge success of the last nearly new sale, which was attended by 350 people and raised more than £1,500 for the NCT Chester branch, the charity hopes its next sale will attract even more sellers, stalls and buyers.

It will be held on July 16 at the Bishops School, Boughton.
