Tarporley High School will receive a cash boost of almost £30,000 because of new homes being built in the village.
Most of the properties will be substantial family homes and Elan is keen to invest in the local infrastructure and amenities, including providing funds for school improvements, play areas and green space, to benefit those already living in the area and its customers.
Richard Dean, land acquisition director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “We take pride in the fact that we have established a solid reputation as a quality builder thanks to our considerate approach to the planning process and commitment to ensuring our developments are sustainable.
“We’ve used our professional expertise and flexible, yet sensitive approach to secure full planning consent for 18 new homes in Tarporley.
“As part of our plans for the development we’ve agreed to contribute almost £6,000 towards improving local play and public open space facilities. We will also gift more than £28,000 towards secondary education at Tarporley High School and provide public open space within the development.”
Building work on the homes is due to start this summer, with the first homes scheduled to go on sale next year.
Thirteen of the homes will be for private sale in a choice of three, four and five-bedroom designs, spanning up to 2,100 square feet, while the remaining five properties will be affordable homes with two and three-bedrooms.
