GOLFING professionals at De Vere Carden Park are offering the local community in Chester the opportunity to benefit from free golf coaching following a successful trial, .
In partnership with The Golf Foundation and the English Golf Union, golf professionals at the hotel have been working with schools and community groups in the area to deliver golf skills coaching as an introduction to the game.
The popularity of the courses has led to interest from a broad range of community organisations – including schools, ladies and family groups – all interested in taking up the sport and learning new skills.
Successful six-week coaching sessions have already been delivered to children at local schools including Bickerton Primary, Waverton Primary and Bishop Heber High School.
The professionals at Carden Park now want to spread the scheme to other schools.
Tri-Golf was developed to enable golf to be delivered to primary school children within the school environment.
