A GLITTERING ball hosted by Carden Park Hotel near Chester raised almost £8,500 for the Wales Air Ambulance.
The event attracted 300 guests who were treated to a champagne reception and four course meal with entertainment from tribute group Abba Arrival.
Guests raised a staggering £4,200 in the auction and raffle alone.
Wales Air Ambulance operates three helicopters which can respond to urgent medical emergencies all over the country.
With helicopters based in Caernarfon, Welshpool and Swansea, the aircrews can reach any part of Wales in about 20 minutes.
