CHESTER’S Cambrian Community brought a touch of colour to a sodden Sunday with a Diamond Jubilee party that will go down in history.
Backed by a donation from the lottery and huge fundraising efforts throughout the year residents of the city’s Garden Quarter enjoyed a weekend full of events including a street party on Granville Road, Cambrian View and Gladstone Road.
Leah Parker-Turnock said: “Many street parties across the nation were cancelled due to the severity of the weather, but that’s perhaps where you find the magic of our community; the relentless neighbourly spirit and enthusiasm remain and, despite dismal, cold and wet conditions, the party continues.”
