HIGH-FLYING cadets have high hopes of conquering a long distance walk for charity.

The cadets, from Chester’s award-winning 610 Squadron ATC, set off for Scotland to raise money for BLESMA, the British Limbless Ex-Service Men’s Association.

Twelve teenagers from the Abbots Park-based squadron are hoping to complete the challenging 96-mile West Highland Way.

The long-distance trail leads from the northern outskirts of Glasgow to the foot of Ben Nevis at Fort William.

The six-day trip will take the cadets along the shores of Loch Lomond, across moors and through dense woodland to the highlands.
