A NEW home and gardenware store is preparing to open its doors next month at the Broughton Shopping Park.

HomeSense will be opening on June 3, with a huge delivery of summer furniture, outdoor living accessories and alfresco diningware.

The new business is expected to create about 35 jobs in the area, and will be the first HomeSense branch to be located in North Wales.

Store manager, Richard Andrews, said: “I’m delighted to be opening the new HomeSense near Chester. The Broughton Shopping park is a great place to be and I’m sure customers will love having a brand new homeware store.”

There will also be a VIP opening event in the week following the launch of the new store.

George Clarke, of Channel 4’s The Home Show, will be in attendance.

HomeSense is run by TJX Europe and is a sister company of clothing store TK Maxx.

The homeware retailer was launched 18 months ago and currently has 14 branches across the UK.

It aims to provide a high product flow, which usually results in about one-fifth of the store’s stock changing on a weekly basis.
