Fast food giant KFC has announced that Broughton is one of five drive-thru restaurants the company is planning to open in North Wales.

The fried chicken firm has published plans for 537 target sites across the nation - which include restaurants, drive-thrus, express/take out spots and food courts.

This includes five drive-thru sites across North Wales - Bangor, Mold, Queensferry, Broughton and Flint.

The Bangor site would be on Caernarfon Road, joining the outlet in the city centre, while they hope to open next to the retail park in Broughton.

In Flint they want to be based near the retail park while in Mold they have agreed a contract to come to a "central" site in the town.

They already have a restaurant on Station Road in Queensferry but now want a drive-thru next to the giant Asda store.

The company currently has around 850 outlets in the UK - with 10 of them in North Wales.
