WORK began on the Middlewich Town Bridge Mural last week and the decoration is expected to be complete by next Wednesday.
Work on the project - a full mural depicting a series of scenes from Middlewich's Roman past to the present day - has been continuing since late last year, bringing together youngsters and older residents to improve the town centre landmark.
On Monday and Tuesday, 12 youngsters from Middlewich High School made the first brush strokes and next week the older team is expected to oversee the project's completion.
Co-organiser Caroline O'Brien of Middlewich Vision said: 'It's looking good so far and we think it will be completed next Wednesday. The designs are good and the youngsters have been working well.'
