A BUSINESSMAN wants to make home security affordable to all when he launches his latest shop.

David Arathoon is starting a savings scheme for customers at his new store in Ellesmere Port.

Mr Arathoon, who already runs Secure Plus and owns Ellesmere Port Business Centre, plans to open Secureplus Supplies at 92 Oldfield Road.

He hopes the retail shop will be unveiled early next week, possibly by the Manchester-based barman who rowed with Samantha Fox on ITV's reality television show The Club.

Mr Arathoon will be selling security lights, cameras, digital systems and other home-safety equipment in the shop.

One innovative system allows parents to monitor a sleeping baby from another room by attaching a motion-sensor camera to the infant's cot.

When the baby rouses, their television, which is wired to the camera, automatically switches over and the parents can see their child on screen.

There will also be small novelty cameras and other security systems either on show in the store, or available to order.

Mr Arathoon vows to assist customers who want to install the equipment themselves, rather than hiring him.

He said: 'We will be happy to offer them help and advice, however many times they come back to the shop.'

The retailer is also keen to accommodate customers when it comes to payment.

Mr Arathoon said: 'We will be operating a scheme where people can save with us for the security system they want.

'Not everyone can afford these systems straight away, but they can save up for them.

'The savings scheme will be fully documented for them, and there will be no APR whatsoever.

'I'm trying to ensure that anyone can afford home security, because it is something everyone is concerned about.' Secureplus Supplies can be contacted on 0151 3559886.
