Boo the baron at hall play

AN EVIL baron is taking a tumble on the boards of a village hall.

Barron Gollyhugh was last thwarted in Ashton Hayes almost 20 years ago.

Now the play has been recreated by Ashton Hayes Theatre Club with a cast of enthusiastic youngsters.

There were swords galore at the ready for deeds of derring-do when our photographer called at a rehearsal.

Audiences can find out how the bad baron gets his comeuppance at 7pm tonight (Friday) and 3pm and 7pm tomorrow at Ashton Village Hall.
