CHESHIRE charities are being invited to team up with Blakemere Craft Centre as its Charity of the Year 2013.
The Sandiway centre has supported many charities to raise funds and awareness of their work and is looking for a partner organisation for 2013.
They would like to hear from any Cheshire-based charities interested in getting involved with Blakemere’s activities and events throughout the year.
Blakemere manager Ginny Brooks-White said: “Blakemere has always been involved with charities in the region and we would really love a Cheshire cause to come on board with us throughout the whole year.
“We want to hear their ideas of how they could be involved with stalls, entertainment, or anything different they could bring to our events.
“We have the space and the facilities - we want charities to bring us their ideas.”
Blakemere supported the Children’s Air Ambulance as its Charity of the Year 2012, raising about £2,500.
The charity was involved in collections and events at the centre including its Countryside Fair in the summer which attracted more than 9,000 people across the weekend.
Other events charities can get involved in include an Easter Egg Hunt, Scarecrow Trail in the autumn and the centre’s Christmas events.
