A BLACON man who was accused of stabbing someone in the head then trying to hide the knife will face a single charge of assault causing actual bodily harm.

Stephen Thomas Bellis, 43, of Nant Peris, Blacon admitted assaulting Christopher Michael Jackson in Chester occasioning actual bodily harm on October 29 last year.

He denied an alternative charge of grievous bodily harm at Chester Crown Court on Monday (January 19).

He also denied perverting the course of justice by concealing and attempting to dispose of clothing and a knife to avoid prosecution. That charge has now been laid on file.

He will be sentenced next month.
