CHESTER’S Theatre in the Quarter are bringing another exciting and original piece of theatre for Christmas.

With real stories collected from the people of Blacon and Chester, writer Helen Newall’s play captures the real essence of Christmas during the world's greatest war.

The Blitz over Liverpool, evacuees and Americans with bubble gum, Christmas Puddings and dancing in Blacon.

This will be told with new music by Matt Baker, directed by Russ Tunney and performed by a talented company of professional actors and a community choir, plus special guest appearance by the Blacon Young Evacuees Singers.

This year Blacon Winter Festival Group have raised funds to enable the tickets to be available to Blacon residents at a subsidised cost of just £1 each.

A matinee of the production is also being held at Blacon Community Centre on Thursday December 17 at 1.30pm.
