Students and staff from Bishops’ Blue Coat CE High School in Great Boughton joined the nation in an Act of Remembrance on November 11.

During the week leading up the event each form had prepared a large poppy with a thoughtful reflection or prayers for the remembrance display school reception area. Year 7 students had prepared individual poppies with their own thoughts that were laid out in a remembrance garden.

A wreath was placed in front of the cross by interim headteacher Peter Coates.

Year 11 student and Air Cadet Connor Maughan read the exhortation, before Matthew Dennis played the last post with the whole school falling silent for two minutes. After Reveille the Kohima Epitaph was read by Connor before School Chaplain Paul North led prayers.
