BISHOP Heber staff threw open the Malpas school’s doors to show prospective pupils what it had to offer.

The evening started with a welcome speech by headteacher David Curry in which he told more than 400 families what Bishop Heber stands for in terms of values and its vision where respect, opportunity and achievement can flourish. Current pupils then had their chance to tell the assembly about their experiences of the school.

Visitors were free to explore the school or take a guided tour and see for themselves what opportunities are available. Prospective pupils were also able to get involved in many of the displays including science experiments and maths games.

David Curry said: “Heber open evening seems to attract increasing numbers and whilst we continue to serve the rural community and villages of south Cheshire, we have a reputation for excellence within our catchment area.”
