POLICE have recovered stolen bikes and seized others.

Stanney Grange residents had raised the issue of speeding quad bikes and motorbikes at their latest community action meeting.

In response, Ellesmere Port police launched Operation Audits to identify offenders.

At the weekend nine Section 59 warning notices were issued to quad/motorbikes riding off-road in an anti-social manner across Stanney. Four stolen motorbikes were recovered, a quad bike and trials bike were seized and two people were arrested.

CAT officer PC Peter Goring said: 'This operation is ongoing and we'll be working hard to clamp down on nuisance bikes.'
