THE organisers of the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power say the event’s Fireworks Concert and military tattoo will be bigger, brighter and louder than ever.

The Pageant takes place over three days from July 15-17 with a fireworks concert and military tattoo on the Saturday evening.

The concert raised more than £75,000 for Help for Heroes in 2010.

Combat Stress, the military charity specialising in the care of veterans’ mental health, has been chosen as the beneficiary in 2011.

With Tim Redmond conducting, the concert will start with the Mossley Brass Band and Military Marching Bands, followed by the Manchester Camerata Orchestra taking to the stage for a Last Night of the Proms-style show.

The evening will round off with a 20-minute fireworks display.

Anyone who books before May 1 can get a 33% saving.Š Adult entry is £20 (£30 if bought on the day), while children’s tickets are £10.

Paddock tickets combining both the Pageant of Power and Fireworks Concert are available from £40 if booked before May 1.
