Olympic bronze medallist Beth Tweddle talked to students at her alma mater’s rival school.

The former Queen’s School student was at The King’s Junior School, on Wrexham Road, to talk about her life as a professional gymnast including her medal win in the London 2012 Olympics.

The three-time world champion addressed her time competing in gymnastics and the Olympics, but also touched on her experience in taking part in the television programme, Dancing on Ice 2013, which gave her the chance to experience a life away from competitive gymnastics.

Answering pupils questions she explained that her father was the man who inspired her to take up gymnastics and the decision to retire was one of the hardest decisions she has ever had to make.

Beth continues to coach gymnastics and still hopes to make an appearance at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

She emphasised that her success was down to hard work and sheer determination.
