Bunbury gymnast Beth Tweddle is launching her Total Gymnastics programme for infants at The King’s School.

The Olympic bronze medallist and triple world champion was at the new Willow Lodge to talk about her achievements and the hard work involved in reaching them.

She then spent time answering the many questions from the excited pupils.

Beth, a former Queen’s School pupil, has a long standing history with The King’s School as her brother James attended and her father Jerry was a governor.

Beth’s Total Gymnastics programme will now be launched in Willow Lodge as part of the curriculum to encourage and improve grass root training in gymnastics.

Headteacher Margaret Ainsworth said “It’s fantastic to be able to offer this wonderful opportunity to our pupils. The programme will allow us to make use of the excellent facilities and space newly designed and created for such a purpose. There is certainly a buzz of excitement after Beth’s visit with many of the pupils eager to begin their gymnastics journey.”
