BEBINGTON High Sports College has celebrated a 91.4% pass rate this year – the best in recent years.

One student Michael Higgins gained 2 'A' s and 2 'B' s which has secured him a place at Leeds University to study law. Michael is the first in his family to go to university and said: "I am really happy at my results, the ethos of the school is extremely supportive.

“The teachers make every effort to know the students and take personal responsibility in helping us to achieve our potential".

Another student Malik Al- Mahrouky gained a place at Central St Martin, London with his A and two Bs and Steph Partington received two As and one B.

Headteacher Mr Jordan said: "These results are superb and a testament to the hard work and dedication of all our staff and are well deserved by our students."

Local MP Ben Chapman also came to the school to meet and offer support to the students.
