SPIDERMAN came to the rescue at a Chester dental practice’s Children in Need fundraiser.

Bank House Dental Practice dentist Dave Orme dressed as the acrobatic superhero to foil an attempt by practice manager Julie Pickles to make off with a bag of swag.

The daring feat even saw a mock chase enacted on the practice’s rooftops.

Other staff members also joined in the fancy dress day, held last Thursday at the NHS practice in White Friars as part of a week-long itinerary of fundraising.

Julie said a range of other charitable activities were held.

She said: “On the Monday we had a cake sale, while on Tuesday we had a wearing a wig day.

“On Wednesday we had our chatterbox Robyn Banks doing a sponsored silence while the rest of us did face painting, Thursday was fancy dress and Friday was wearing something spotty.

“We have raised a total of £550 and we would like to thank all the patients for their generosity and our surrounding neighbours for their support.”
