Badger’s Barn nursery in Helsby raises hundreds of pounds for Barnado’s charity

CHILDREN, parents and staff at Badger’s Barn nursery have raised £700 for Barnado’s.

An egg was given to each child at the nursery in Chester Road, Helsby, which they had to look after for a week, while collecting donations from friends and family.

Other fundraising activities included a bake sale and a raffle with prizes donated by Peckforton Castle and Forest Hills Hotel.

Nursery manager Tracy Roberts said: “A big thank you goes out to all our parents, children, colleagues, family and friends for all their support in raising funds for such an important cause.”

Proprietors Mark and Angelina Wheeler have been providing support for Barnardo’s for the past nine years.

Nancy Hart, the North West’s Barnardo’s representative, visited the nursery to accept the cheque.
