CREWE'S answer to Kylie Minogue is making a timely return to the stage as her pop idol heads back into the spotlight after breast cancer.

Sarah Jane Irlam, of Monks Avenue, Crewe, is going back on the road with her award-winning Kylie tribute act after giving birth to her third child.

Her return to the music scene coincides with Kylie's announcement to reschedule the Showgirl tour she had to pull out of last May on discovering she had the dis-ease.

Sarah, 30, has been inundated with work since she appeared in Stars in Their Eyes in 2001. She received a personal letter and platinum disc from Kylie when she went through to the final.

Sarah said: 'Her illness has been such a worry to me and all Kylie fans.

'But I always knew she had the strength of character to pull through.

'I've been checking her website to see how she was getting on and was thrilled to hear about the Showgirl tour.

'I've seen it and she changed eight times, which is exhausting. I hope she won't go overboard doing too much too soon.'

Appearance dates are already flooding in for Sarah who has performed in clubs across the country and on cruise ships.

She pays incredible attention to detail in getting her voice, dance routines and costumes to Kylie perfection.

She has had six months off to get over the birth of her baby boy - and is getting into shape by practising her dance steps.

She added: 'I always watch her shows and DVDs to see how she changes her performances. As soon as she launched the Showgirl tour, I saw her in blue feathers and found some myself for my own costume.'

Kylie, 38, has announced she will return before the end of the year and according to an Australian newspaper she hopes to start a family.
