ONE to One Midwives are recruiting five more midwives to cope with the high demand as a result of a baby boom across Cheshire and Wirral.

The Wirral-based midwifery company is preparing to take on more full time and job share posts.

Flexibility underpinned by an innovative and dynamic approach has already attracted more than 20 midwives to the company which is commissioned by the NHS.

One of those is mum-of-two Leanne Rendell, who started in November 2012 and described the midwifery company as ‘family friendly’ and ‘less restrictive’ than other midwifery services.

Leanne said: “My work is really enjoyable and rewarding. I always look forward to going to work to support my clients.

“I gain a tremendous amount of satisfaction from getting to know the mums-to-be and helping them before, during and after the birth.

“Working for One to One Midwives is family friendly in more ways than one.

“I’m able to provide families with a home-based service and able to manage my own diary on an iPad – this makes planning easier for both work and at home.

“If you have children, flexible working is crucial to maintain a good work life balance.”

There will also be an open recruitment evening on Thursday, April 11, 7-9pm for midwives to find out more at Thursby House, 1 Thursby Road, Bromborough.
