THE Grosvenor Hotel and Spa in Chester is prized as the jewel in the crown of the NorthWest's hotel industry.

The luxury five-star hotel in Chester city centre won the Large Hotel of the Year at the third annual England's Northwest Tourism Awards.

Judges were looking for exceptional customer care as well as a commitment to excellence and quality in all areas.

The Grosvenor met the criteria with ease, offering sumptuous, relaxing surroundings and thoughtful, professional service.

The Grosvenor walked away with a gleaming trophy to mark their achievement.

Mandy Lane, Director of Tourism Live said: 'This historic luxury hotel has constantly moved with the times, never standing still and continuously adapting to the changing needs of their guests.

'The hotel operation runs with precision which translates to a very relaxed atmosphere for guests. The Chester Grosvenor is truly an exceptional experience!'
