ASHTON HAYES is to hold its annual rose queen celebration this Sunday.
The celebration, which has been a part of Ashton Hayes’ village life for more than 70 years, will be hosted at St John's Church.
Francesca Deynam will be the 2009 Rose Queen, with Milly Rowe as this year’s Rosebud.
A procession of decorated trailers will leave Village Farm in Church Road at 10.30am and the Rose Queen Pageant and a fancy dress competition will begin at 11.30am at the church.
St John's will also host other activities on the day such as a grand raffle, children’s tombola, and tours of the bell tower.
The church will be decorated by many of the villages organisations.
Everyone is welcome to go along and join in with the day’s events.
