A HOST of Christmas bargains, gifts and treats were on sale at Ash-worth Time Bank’s Christmas fair.
The event at Kelsall Community Centre saw more than 30 stalls selling a wide range of gifts, crafts and services to the community.
The annual event was busy with visitors hoping to buy find the perfect gift. The event is expected to have raised more than £900 for the charity.
There was a grand raffle and tombola, and mulled wine and mince pies were served.
The Ash-worth Time Bank has been operating for seven years from Ashton Hayes and covers 14 villages. It offers a range of services to elderly people in the villages, including holistic therapy, art and reading groups, pilates and t’ai chi classes and a range of other social groups.
Susan Ross- Turner, projects and grants manager of Ash-worth Time Bank, said: “This is an annual fundraising event and we had a really good turnout. Everybody enjoyed the day and was in the festive spirit.
“I must say a big thank you to Brian Stephenson, who was our Father Christmas and has been Father Christmas for 19 years for local charities. A big thank you to all the stallholders and visitors to the fair.”
