SPECIAL Anti-social Behaviour Orders (ASBOs) have been made again two Ellesmere Port boys.

The orders against Billy Neil, 14, of Sutton Way, and Joseph Brian Howard, 15, of Swale Road, will remain in force until they reach 18.

Under the terms of the orders, the teenagers have been prohibited from entering Overpool Road shops.

They are also banned from hanging around in groups in Cheshire and from associating with a specific list of people.

Failure to comply with these rules could see them sent into custody.

The orders were granted on June 6 by Chester, Ellesmere Port & Neston Magistrates at the request of borough police, who presented evidence showing the two boys have caused problems in the Overpool Road area for a number of years.

Ellesmere Port ASBO co-ordinator Michelle Brown said: 'These individuals have persistently used anti-social, aggressive and unruly behaviour.

'The problems they have been linked to include criminal damage, under-age drinking, theft and assault.

'We will not tolerate this and I'm pleased the courts have been supportive of an application which will help us put a stop to the behaviour.'

She added: 'This is the latest in a series of ASBOs made against a large group of youngsters who have been making life a misery for those in the Overpool Road shops area.'

Plans are now in place to create anti-social behaviour awareness leaflets featuring the names of the individuals and the conditions of their orders.
