AN ARTIST in Chester will hold a viewing in an unlikely setting this weekend.
Caroline Dangerfield, 27, is to open the doors to the studio she shares with fellow artist Janet Bell in a garage at the end of her parents’ garden.
The work will be exhibited from 10am-5pm as part of Cheshire Open Studios.
Open Studios will be bigger than ever this year, involving 69 artists exhibiting on four weekends across Cheshire.
Caroline, who lives in Boughton, will be displaying her work at the bottom of the garden at 41 Hamilton Street, Hoole while 15 other exhibitions are held across the city.
She said: ‘We’ve done this for the past three years and it’s been getting more and more successful.
‘My paintings are inspired by landscapes, incorporating text and image to produce colourful, expressive works.
‘We will be exhibiting paintings, limited edition prints, cards and framed works.
‘Janet and I met while we were both working at Habitat in Chester a few years ago and have been influencing each other ever since. This is the last year we will be doing this for a while as Janet is moving out of the area and I am moving from this studio.
‘I have just begun working as an art teacher at Upton High School so hopefully a few of my pupils will come and have a look.’
It will be a chance to meet the artists, discover how and where they produce their work and buy from them directly.
