Police are appealing for information following an alleged attack in which a young man had his jaw broken.

Officers were called to reports of a serious assault in Fisher Road, Blacon , Chester , about 4.30pm on Thursday, September 1.

The victim, a 23-year-old man from Blacon, was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital suffering from a fractured jaw.

As a result, a 25-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone with any information regarding the incident is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident 682, of September 1, 2016.
