FUNDRAISERS are stepping into the limelight to sing their favourite hits in aid of charity.

The Big Friday Night Live concert is being held at Winsford Conservative Centre, Ways Green, on Friday, June 30, from 7pm to raise money for St Luke's Hospice.

The night will feature entertainment from professional artists and an X-Factor-styletalentcompetitionwhile Miss Cheshire, Miss Vale Royal and Miss Personality will be selling raffle tickets. There will be a late night bar and disco.

Organisers Ross Lawson and Steve Cadby, who live in Winsford, met in the army and are now channelling their energies into fundraising. Steve said: 'Ross and I decided to put our skills together and do something for the community and raise money for charity. Charity starts at home and that's Winsford, where St Luke's is one of the biggest charities.

'We've got some great local talent performing in the X-Factor competition. People will pay £1 to vote which will go towards the fundraising. It's going to be a fantastic night.'

Asda has already donated more than £300 to kickstart fundraising for what promises to be a highly entertaining evening.
