Frodsham Foundation has announced that an application has been submitted to Heritage Lottery Fund for an enterprise grant to facilitate the redevelopment of the goods shed at Frodsham station.

The social enterprise company wants to transform the derelict building into a venue to meet, create and trade.

A series of eight events will be held on February 23, 24 and 25 focussing on how the goods shed can benefit the community.

The workshops, which are open to anyone, will cover issues such as energy efficiency, hospitality and support for existing businesses.

Frodsham Foundation is looking for new directors for its board and is inviting applications from people interested in helping it to deliver its mission.

The board is particularly interested in individuals with skills and experience in accountancy, hospitality, corporate structure and creative industries.

Frodsham Foundation has also formed a public sector advisory group to advise the main board on public sector priorities and opportunities.

Police, fire and health representatives will be invited to join.

It is anticipated that more advisory groups will be formed in future.

If you are interested in becoming a director or helping to form an advisory group, contact Kate Dodgson on 07970798247 or email kate.dodgson@frodshamfoundation.net.
