Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured following an incident in Manley.

He was riding along Manley Road in the direction of Alvanley about 9.15am on Thursday August 28, when he was overtaken by a motorist in a black car.

The car turned off in the direction of Newton and the cyclist braked sharply, resulting in him skidding and falling from his bike. It is unclear at this stage whether the cyclist collided with the car or not.
