ATHLETES from the area can again take to Frodsham Hill next month for the fifth Rocksavage Downhill Run.

Taking place on Saturday, September 11, the 1.5-mile run will start at the memorial on Frodsham Hill and ends at the Community Centre Field, Fluin Lane, Frodsham.

Sue Thompson of the Frodsham Community Centre said: “Already more than 100 runners of all ages have entered.

“Runners and spectators arriving at the field are also promised an exciting afternoon of family fun and entertainment.

“With Silcock’s Family Fun Fair, drop-in bingo sessions, a children’s entertainer, birds of prey, stalls and games from local groups, a barbecue run by the Frodsham and Helsby Rotary Club and other refreshments, there is some- thing for everyone to enjoy.

“And in the evening, from 7.30pm we have organised a night of dancing with the Flaxmere Ceilidh Band, tickets are £7 and £3.”

The closing date for entry is Friday, September 10.
