BE an angel and join our appeal to ease the suffering of South Cheshire cancer patients.
It's now three months since we launched the Angels Appeal to help Macmillan Cancer Relief boost nursing care and your support has been overwhelming.
But with as much as £485,000 left to raise, it is going to be a long haul and some major fundraising is needed.
We know our South Cheshire readers have their hearts in the right place and readers of all ages are behind the appeal.
But we also know not everyone has the time to organise a fundraising event so we are appealing for donations, no matter how small.
Children have sent their pocket-money and pensioners have contributed from their sparse funds.
One event families can get involved in is the Macmillan Walk in the Park on May 30.
Macmillan fundraising manager Amy Wilson, 31, based at Leighton Hospital said: 'As part of the annual Macmillan Miles Challenge, running from May 23 to 30, we have organised a country walk at Marbury Country Park, Northwich at 10am on May 30.
'This will be a wonderful opportunity for people to walk a mile - or three - for Macmillan Cancer Relief. Bring your friends and family, and the dog too, and join us for a stroll around the park.
'This event is not only a healthy way to spend a Sunday morning, taking in beautiful countryside views, but also a fantastic way to support the appeal to fund vital cancer care services in the local area.
'There are three different routes of one, three or five miles, so there is something to suit everyone. All we hope for is sunshine.'
Last year saw almost 30,000 people getting involved in the Macmillan Miles Challenge.
They walked, ran, hopped, line-danced and even knit a mile-long scarf.
In Cheshire £25,000 was raised and Macmillan staff based at Leighton hope to top that this year.
We are asking readers to consider walking, running, swimming or cycling a mile for sponsorship cash.
Children could lay a mile of coins or buttons round a playground or put their energy to good use by skipping or hopping a mile.
Amy added: 'Taking part in the Macmillan Miles Challenge is as fun and as easy as you make it. A simple way would be to join us for the walk in Marbury Country Park.'
