Aldi’s new store in Broughton is to be opened by Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle.
The store, on Broughton Industrial Estate, is to start trading from Thursday December 10 at 8am with a special golden ticket giveaway.
It will see the first 100 people in the queue will be handed a golden envelope, containing a special prizes including a 40 inch HD television, a tablet, a smartphone and Aldi Christmas gift packs.
The 1,254sq ft store which has 132 car parking spaces, has created 45 new jobs for the area.
Aldi store manager, Steven Woods, who will cut the ribbon alongside Beth Tweddle said: “We’ve got a lot planned with the local community on the morning of the opening, and with some great offers in store, it’s sure to be a busy day.
“The team and I are looking forward to welcoming customers into their new store, and we can’t wait for them to see the quality and value of the products that will be on offer.”
Children from Broughton Primary School will be getting customers in the Christmas spirit as they sing a variety of festive carols during the opening and complimentary sausage and bacon sandwiches will also be handed out to customers in the queue.
While bosses at the store will also unveil the winning poster by a schoolchild of a “design an Aldi store competition” during the opening.
A balloon modeller and face painter will also be at the store open to entertain the children.
