AN ALCOHOLIC who admitted harassing his former partner over the sale of their home has been made the subject of a restraining order not to harass her.
John Paul Moss telephoned his ex, Hayley Michelle Birkenhead both at home and at work, and left abusive messages, Flintshire magistrates’ court was told.
Moss, 35, now of Heyville Road, Wirral, admitted harassing her between April 24 and June 14 this year both at her home in Clavering Cottage, Northop Hall, and at her place of work at The Bike Factory in Boughton.
He was placed on a two year community order under which he must follow a domestic abuse programme run by the probation service.
Moss was placed on six months supervision and a restraining order was made under which he is not to contact his victim, or go within 200 metres of her home address of her place of work.
Prosecutor Philip Clemo said Moss had made a number of calls to her about the sale of the house, about their dogs, and he made comments about a new partner it was alleged she had.
The defence said that he was an alcoholic who had been on various detoxification courses.
He knew his behaviour was inappropriate and wished to apologise.
