THERE were black clouds and bright sunshine when a village school held its Hey Day summer fair.

Attractions during the three hour event, at Ashton Hayes Primary School, were as varied as the weather with everything from goo buckets to a woofasaurus.

A children’s flower, craft and produce show was on offer together with play equipment, ball skills workshops, cream teas, a barbecue, beer tent, a dog obedience demonstration, a raffle, craft stalls, bric a brac and all the fun of the fair.

The Country edition of this Friday’s Chronicle will feature a picture special from Saturday’s event.
